rhythm . surf indian . hang together for japan

Out of one of the most devastating natural disasters in our generation’s memory has come an outpouring of worldwide support and solidarity for our brothers and sisters in Japan.  Though the recovery has begun, an estimated cost of approximately $100 billion is a formidable opponent, even for a first-world nation and any assistance is being accepted with open arms.

This is where the general goodness of mankind comes in. Chris Rule, the owner and stalwart behind SurfIndian in Pacific Beach, CA, decided to take action and organized the “Hang Together” event, with the help of dedicated staff,  at his Mission St. shop.  The result was an overflow of smiles, positivity and support for those affected, as well as several thousands of dollars in direct aid from a far-from-silent auction, raffle giveaways, and special edition tees commemorating what was a night of optimism and hope.  We would like to offer our condolences for those effected, and encourage everyone to get involved.  It is in the darkest of times that the light of humanity finds a way to shine brightest.
