Archive for September, 2011
we recently threw a party at the oc tavern with filtrate eyewear, transworld surf, and arma in celebration of the hurley pro coming to town | this blog entry was meant to be a recap of said event however in looking through the photos it became apparent that a documentary style piece detailing the night through the dancing of dane anderson would be much more appropriate | here goes nothing
| he danced | he flared | he conquered |
| the second installment of the sea hear now art series kicked off last friday night, july 16 and continued thru sunday july 18 | again the event brought together artists from across the US, local music, and the support of the artistic community of asbury park to create an evening that well exceeded the expectations of anyone at the first event | check out the pictures below to get a better idea of what went down and make sure to be a part of the next installment coming your way in the spring of 2012 |
IF3 (International Freeski Film Festival) 2011
not often you find yourself among the rest of the freeski world gathered together during september, everyone’s off time. this ordinarily constitutes unadulterated good times and unbelievable party potential and like always, the weekend came through with flying colors. bottles were smashed, stained shirts were torn from bodies, and pint glasses were replaced with stinky shoes. a spectacle to most but for this group, who spend countless hours together each winter and spring, it was completely average. a rocker party to close the festival turned into something more of the likes of a cross-dressing disco also appearing quite average for a pack of heathenskiers.
anything not said here can be described in the photos below.

The second installment of the SEA|HEAR|NOW art exhibit will be going off this weekend in ASBURY PARK, NJ | rhythm artists Mark McInnis and Laura Austin will be showing their work along with selected others from across the US | please come out and join us in celebrating beautiful artwork and the end of summer in what stands to be the most anticipated event of its kind for NJ
the months are changing again | as much as this arbitrary phenomenon startles us every 30 or so days we still like to welcome everyone to each new month with a giveaway | while september is technically midsummer the nip in the air at night would lead us to believe otherwise | in order to combat this unseasonally brisk weather we are giving away the recently released STOCK ROCK HOODIE to a lucky facebook fan | lets be friends |
| cheers |
